Meet Max Filby

Max is an investigative reporter for The Columbus Dispatch in Ohio’s capital city.

Max previously served as The Dispatch’s lead reporter covering the COVID-19 pandemic. Before that, Max reported on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and higher education issues for the Dayton Daily News.

Max is a native of Sylvania, a suburb of Toledo, Ohio. He earned a bachelor's degree in journalism in 2013 from Bowling Green State University. While there, he served as editor-in-chief of his college newspaper, The BG News.
